『ｏｐｅｎ－ｅｙｅｄｄｒｅａｍ』 is a sonic representation of the sensations during extended sleep paralysis. The soundscapes evoke a calm-terror crafted from the direct experiences of its author during chronic bouts of multi-hour sleep paralysis.
Hallucinogenic hypnagogic Dreamtone that stuns the listener into a multi-layered confrontation of their unconscious, all before the final track cradles us into a dark-textured lullaby, what we can only hope would be the safety of sleep and dream.
The listening experience is a transient passage between the state of awake and asleep, the body frozen while the mind is drifting in and out within the terrifying void. The mind enveloped into a stasis of passage before the unconscious takes us, the body becoming a prison cell as our eyes hallucinate images meant only for oblivion.
In this state we witness slow flashes of phantasm, a nightmare of the watcher looking back, a silent longform scream for us to wake up to the horror, or surrender into the sweet darkness of the night.
